“In Christ Jesus you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.”
Ephesians 2:22
Phase 1: Freedom from Debt
In Romans 13:8, Scripture tells us, “Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another.” We believe that becoming debt-free will free us to love and serve others more fully.
Imagine the ministry opportunities that become possible when we are no longer burdened by debt. Currently, our church pays approximately $42,000 annually toward our mortgage, with nearly half going toward interest. By eliminating the mortgage debt, we can redirect funds toward ministry, outreach, discipleship, and serving others.
Over the years, God has faithfully blessed and sustained our church family in ways we could never have imagined. He has brought people to faith, deepened discipleship, and continued to form us into a community rooted in Christ and sent out for His mission. As we look toward the future, we believe God is inviting us into a new season of faithfulness and growth together.
With gratitude and hope, we launched the Built Together Capital Campaign on our 20th Anniversary this past January. At that time, we announced that a generous parishioner has offered a $100,000 matching challenge. Every dollar given toward the Built Together Capital Campaign before September 30 will be matched dollar-for-dollar. This means every gift made during this season will have double the impact. So far, we have raised about $50,000. We would love to secure the entirety of the $100,000 matching challenge by September 30, 2026.
This campaign is about far more than buildings or finances. At its heart, the Built Together Capital Campaign is about people — about embracing unique opportunities for worship, discipleship, hospitality, leadership development, and mission for generations to come.
We believe God is building something beautiful among us. Ephesians 2 reminds us that we are being “built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.” That is our prayer — that God would continue building us together into a people marked by worship, hospitality, discipleship, and mission.
I invite you to prayerfully consider how God may be calling you to participate in this campaign. Whether through prayer, generosity, or service, every member of our church family has a role to play in what God is doing. Please prayerfully consider how you are called to engage with this campaign and fill out the digital pledge card linked above. Members from the Capital Campaign Committee will meet and pray with every household. They will be able to answer any questions you may have. You may return here at any time to give.
Thank you for your faithfulness, your generosity, and your love for Christ and His Church. It is a joy and privilege to serve alongside you.
In Christ,
David+
Phase 2: Renovations for Growth
God is growing our church family, and we want to create spaces that support gathering, discipleship, and mission. The Built Together Campaign will help us renovate and improve our existing facility to better serve all generations.
Planned Improvements
- Urgent facility repairs
- A kitchen
- Expanded indoor gathering space
- Classrooms for discipleship of all ages
- Accessible bathrooms
These improvements will create welcoming, functional spaces where people can encounter Christ, build relationships, and grow in faith.
Phase 3: Next Generation Leaders
Built Together is not only about our physical church building. It is also about investing in future generations of Christian leaders. We long to see missionaries, pastors, church planters, and ministry leaders raised up and sent out from among us.
Through a partnership with Made to Flourish, we have been awarded a one-time $200,000 grant to launch a permanent pastoral residency program at Servants of Christ. Once the grant has been used, we will need to have funds in place to keep the residency program running. Your support will help build this into a lasting foundation for developing future church leaders.
We also hope to strengthen our ministry to college students, helping them encounter Christ at a pivotal season of life and equipping them to live faithfully wherever God calls them.
Phase 4: Future Generations
Finally, we want to prepare wisely for whatever opportunities God may place before us in the future. This campaign will establish a fund for future property acquisition within the condo association or surrounding neighborhood, so that should an opportunity arise, we are prepared to respond quickly and strategically. We are building not only for today, but for future generations on 8th Avenue.
