Meet Fr. David Trautman

The Vestry is excited to share with you that we have unanimously agreed to call Father David Trautman to serve as the next rector of Servants of Christ Anglican Church. He has accepted the position and will begin August 1st.

Father David is presently the rector at Trinity Anglican Church in Thomasville, Georgia where he has pastored for the past 7 years. Prior to living in Thomasville, he was an Associate Pastor at Church of the Ascension in Pittsburgh, PA. He has a Master of Sacred Theology in New Testament from Trinity School for Ministry received in 2012. Many of you met Father David, his wife, Deacon Megan, and their children Amanda, age 11, Daniel, age 7 and Luke, age 6, during their visit in April.
The search committee spent many months in prayer discerning the most important qualities for our next rector. They spoke with multiple candidates, and through both the discernment of the team and the candidates themselves, they made the unanimous recommendation of Father David to the vestry. We could not feel more thankful or blessed for the faithful service of the search committee, the sacrifice of their time, and their prayerful and humble approach to the process.

Please be praying for Trinity Church Thomasville as they begin the transition process for a new rector; for the Trautman family as they ready their home for sale and look for housing in Gainesville; and for peace and a non-anxious presence for both congregations as we head into this new season.
